Matt Smith plays the 11th Doctor. He is as cool and heroic as Clint Eastwood and Batman and Robin but they have none of his wit or charm.
This incarnation of the Doctor has a wardrobe that consists of a brown tweed jacket, red bow tie, red braces or suspenders, striped dress shirt, black pants, black boots, sonic screwdriver and Fez so it shouldn’t be that hard to put together. His hairstyle looks very traditional. It is parted to the right.
The Doctor normally travels with one female companion. This time the producers and writers of the show gave him a female companion, Amy Pond played by Karen Gillan, and a male companion, Rory Williams played by Arthur Darvill, who were dating each other. Eventually, they got married. The Doctor only had a platonic relationship with Amy Pond although Amy did have a small crush on him.
One of the first things that you notice about his sonic screwdriver is that it is thicker than the sonic that the 10th Doctor David Tennant uses. It also has a green bulb at the top of it instead of the blue one that comes with David Tennant’s sonic.
There are some differences between the sonic screwdriver used by Matt Smith and the sonic used by the 10th Doctor David Tennant. The first difference is that is it a lot thicker and sturdier. Also the light at the end of the sonic is green instead of blue.
The most distinctive parts of his costume are his various tweed jackets, bow ties and sonic screwdriver.
His bow ties are usually red but he also wears blue and white ones as well.
He also famously wears a red fez in the season finale for season 5. The fez is several inches tall and unlike some fezzes it does not contain a tassel on the top. The fez makes another appearance in the The Day of the Doctor movie. Many people at Comic Con will be wearing a fez to go with the rest of their 11th Doctor costume.
He also wears a Stetson cowboy hat for the season premiere of season 6.
