Scooby Doo and the Gang is another gang of friends from TV and movies that can be a wonderful group costume idea. Shaggy, Velma and the gang have costumes online, and one of you can even dress up as Scooby himself.
The animated TV show Scooby Doo was wildly popular during the 1970s and 1980s. It was about a teenage crime solving team called Mystery Incorporated from Crystal Cove. It consisted of two men (Freddie “Fred” Jones and Norville “Shaggy” Rogers), two women (Daphne Blakely and Velma Dinkley) and a smart, talking Great Dane named Scooby Doo.
Dressing up members of Mystery Inc. would be a great group costume idea for a group of men and women. There are affordable costumes that you can purchase online for the entire gang including Scooby Doo. All of these characters have distinct personalities so you can match the costume with the person in your group with the same personality. For example, the bookworm in your group can go as Velma and the silly one can dress up as Shaggy.

Trying to make an outfit that will look like Scooby would be too difficult so I think you should purchase a Scooby costume online. I have seen Scooby costumes online that consist of a brown jumpsuit that comes with a dog collar, tail, hand covers, feet covers and a Scooby Doo headpiece.
Fred and Daphne are a crime solving couple who work with Shaggy and Scooby Doo. They are not as fun and popular as Shaggy and Scooby but they are still very recognizable. Fred has blonde hair and usually wears an orange scarf, white sweater, denim jeans and brown shoes while Daphne has orange hair and typically wears a green scarf, purple dress and purple go go boots.
Velma also helped Shaggy and Scooby solve crimes. She was the brainy one so as you would expect her look is kind of nerdy. Velma wore an orange turtleneck sweater, red pleated skirt, orange knee-high socks and red Mary Jane shoes. She also sported nerdy wayfarer clear sunglasses and her red hair was put in a classic bob hairstyle with bangs that were neck length. If two girls who are fans of the Scooby Doo tv show and movies want to go to a costume party together, then they can go as Daphne and Velma.
